There's an 8mm bolt that holds the shift boot in place on the gear shifter. Did you get that one? Under the cup holder inserts there are two 10mm bolts. Did you get those? There is a bolt under the rubber insert between the transfer case shifter and the dash. Did you get that one? That's all the ones I know of.

I'm looking at a picture of it. It looks to be in the upper right hand corner. Pull the boot back and you should see it.

just had my console out... The other bolt is under the shift boot lever. The "tang" that pops out is toward the seat there is a tab on the front. There is a bolt under a cover on the transfer case shift ****. I didn't pull mine off. I just loosened the console and moved it back a little so I could remove the storage bin.

I'm still confused on where this third bolt it at... I found the one under the cup holder and the one under the storage bin, but I can't find that elusive last bolt holding this thing down to save my life?! Anyone got another description, or maybe an FSM image or even a picture?

The second one is a great image, thanks!! Now the question is, how in the world do I get to that third bolt?? I can't seem to figure out how to remove the x-case lever boot to access that bolt?????

The boot prys out. If you don't have a trim stick to remove it, wrap some electrical tape around the end of a flat-head screwdriver so you don't scratch anything. Here are the instructions from the shop manual:

4WD FLOOR SHIFT BOOT
REMOVAL
(1) Using a small pry bar or equivalent, remove
the insert, the nut and remove the shifter ****. (Fig.
2)
(2) Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, pry up
the boot from the console. (Fig. 1)

I have a 06 with auto trans but the same question on removing the console. It seems the pics are no longer here as it is an older post. Anybody able to post any diagrams of the removal points for a 06 Ram console? looking to mount two way radios without tearing up the inside. Want a neat install. Searched the threads without success?
