so I was reading through the maintaince manual for the third gen trucks. under tab 13: frames and bumpers, sub heading frames. There is a repair procedure for vehicles that have been involved in a collision and have had the front frame bent. To be brief... it involves cutting the frame at a specific point, installing a sleave on the inside of the frame and welding. The quotes above are cautionary notes that appear to limit the use of the vehicle that have had this procedure done to it.
now, If I am reading this correctly I think if I ever get into an accident I had better find some plow equipment to hang off the front of my truck, just to make sure I get what I had before...

The one disclaimer is the "light duty front frame rail tip replacement" Do you think they are talking 1500 trucks?? ??? :-[
