My hydroboost started leaking at 5K miles. They had to order & replace the hydroboost unit. Didn't give me any warnings...just started puking steering fluid all over the place.

I lost my hydroboost system at around 12k miles. A fitting fractured at the P/S pump and dumped all the fluid on the highway.

They are footing bill for everything...gave me a brand new 300M Chrysler to drive until my truck is fixed. Head Wrench said it is only the 2-3 one in 3-4 years.....unusual for it to happen. I am in Florida 3 stike lemon law here....better get her right! $ 41,000 truck busts in 300 miles ain't good for my blood pressure.......

Your luck my buddy's dad just went through three new ferd's first one made 157 miles motor puked, next one went 389 miles and now he is on his third one waiting for the first one to get fixed.. I would be looking else where.

Stuff happenss... Both of my ball joints were shot at 500 miles!!

They had never seen that before. Still doesn't change my mind about these trucks.. Makes me mad.. I make a living with mine and if I am without it I feel naked...

This I don't believe is a simple litte fix..........looked pretty involved to me. Let's put it this way.....a malfunction at 300 miles does not leave me optimistic about the complete build! My 2003 was trouble free.

My grand dad's Ford powerstroke died at a stop sign with less than 500 miles on it. Result, it had to be towed to a dealership and the computer had to be replaced.

My 2004.5 with only ~200 miles started leaking the pink fluid - slow drip. Took it in and they replaced the Hydroboost unit, said some were defective.
Now, 44k miles later and that is the only problem I have had!

I'll take that small problem over many others any day.

It's not all cars and trucks. It seems to be all american cars and trucks. They are not built that well in my opinion. I have problems with all my trucks. Power steering hydro boost gone on the 03 at 36,700 both computers by 55,000. Dealer had it for 4 weeks so I pulled it out from under them and traded it somewhere else. The worst part is where I live all the dodge dealers have the worst service depts. I just brought my 05 in for a noise in the rear and they told me it was my oversize tires. Funny like I never heard my tires before. And they are not oversize they are just mud tires for the winter. That is tehre way of weaseling out of warranty work. I bet when I go back they'll tell me my warranty has been canceled. End rant. Anyway I do love my cummins but could do without the dodge part.

Had my hydroboost unit changed at 20,000 KM . Now have 54,000 KM and it is going in again. Glad it happened now because my 3 years is up April 22.
