2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Electric Brake Controller Wire

Someone cut the blue wire (electric brake controller) under the hood. I cant find where it was cut from.
Not concerned about the why, I just want to know where they cut it.

If someone has pictures showing me this, I'll send a beer your way.

Thanks!

PS: I want to re-attach it because I like to figure this out.
PPS: Bonus points if you can direct me to where the 12v connects!

Blue wire goes from the in-cab brake controller to the plug at your rear bumper.

Hmmm
The brake controller plugs into a factory harness.
There is a blue wire that comes out of this harness and then appears to go through the firewall.

Would he have cut it from inside the wire loom inside the engine compartment?
I looked but couldn't see anything.
I shall check again.

This is correct. Don't understand when you say that the wire was cut under the hood and then talk about the harness at the controller.. One thing that you could try is to connect a voltmeter to the blue wire going through the firewall and the other end to a good ground. Step on the brake and see if you have any voltage. That in theory should prove or disprove what that blue wire does. Then go to the 7 pin plug at the back and see if you have a blue wire there. If so, follow it forward until you come to the cut end.
