17x9 Moto Metals and leveling kit.... biggest tire?

Sorry I know another wheel and tire question.

Currently running 17x9 moto metal 951s, Bushwacker pocket flares

* Backspace: 4.53 "
* Offset: -12 mm

My current tires are Procomp Xtreme All terrain's 305 65 17 and are worn

I am adding a 2 inch leveling kit. What are some options for larger E rated all terrain tires.

285/70 R17 or 285/75 R17 or 295/70 R17 or 305/70 R17 ( Nitto or Toyo )

You might be able to run 315/70 R17 but you might have minor rubbing same with a 35x12.5x17. It will definitely be close with flares. I run the same rims with 285/75 R17's and had minor rubbing at stock height, now with my leveling kit I have nothing but room. I may be able to run 35x12.5x17's but the Kore leveling kit gave me about a 2 1/2" lift.

I have the same Moto Metals.... I put them on with 315/70/17 Mickey Thomson MTZ's shortly after installing a 2" level kit.

As soon as I pulled into my driveway at angle while turning the front wheels, I rubbed pretty badly.

IMHO, there is NO-WAY you can run 315/70/17's or any 35 x 17's on a Moto Metal wheel with only a 2" front level.... that is unless you never turn the wheels all the way to the stops and never articulate whatsoever.
I installed a complete lift kit to fix the rubbing.

Nitto has a 305/70 R17. Which would take me from 32.6 to 33.8. Just over 1 inch.

Anybody see a problem with this?

It'll still be close.... but I bet it would work as long as you don't plan on twisting it much when offroad.

Minor rubbing which seems to be mostly from the passenger side. No biggie..

WOW that extra inch and leveling kit sure does make the truck feel much higher

check your axle to see if it's off center, it should be. an adjustable tracbar will help put it back center & get rid of any rubbing. I have a thurenfab one and it works great.
