1 low beam headlight won't work

Its not the bulb it has been changed and checked..
Dealer wants to replace both control modules for $1,500
I figure that if 1 low beam is working the modules are working fine.

Any good ideas?

I have a 2004.5 just like you and I've had this problem many times - for me it's always the driver side low beam.
First, if you really need a new FCM, a new one costs around $250 online and it's also very simple to replace. I don't know what the other control module is but $1500 sounds pretty high.

Second, I just started a thread yesterday in this forum about this very problem and there is a simple, free (oh yeah!) thing to try. It involves unplugging the FCM, plugging it back in, and using some shims to prevent the screws from bending the FCM too much. I did this a couple weeks ago and it fixed the problem, though we'll have to see if it lasts.

I'm having the same issue with the passenger side bright light. Low works fine and low/high beam on driver side works fine.
