05' infinity w/6 cd changer problems

Ever since I disconnected my battery's to do some engine work, I can't get my CD player to work. There are 5 discs in there and I cannot play or eject any of them. I also get an error on the screen???

I had almost the exact same problem. Batteries cables off and now CD player will not work. It doesn't even show up when I change the mode only FM and AM are selections. I can here the thing making noises, like it is searching for a disc, but nothing. I have tried everything I can think of, except pulling the battery cables again. Might try that, too. I have a local service managers name that I am told I can trust. I'll let you know if there is a way to reset. I hope so.

I just pulled my radio/cd changer today for issues with the cd changer. When I reinstalled the system, the cd changer took about 3 minutes to initialize, at least which is what I think it was doing. I could hear the mechanism shuffling around. It finally stopped, I loaded a cd and it works. Maybe with the cds in the changer it cannot initialize. Good luck.

I agree with the crappy design opinion, my changer volume starts breaking up on a cd after 20-30 mins of run time. Dodge had plastered part number stickers over the upper air vents to the radio/changer. I took those off, drilled some extra air vent holes in the bottom and put a little heat sink compound on the power transistors. So far it played over an hour after the reinstall, so my fingers are crossed.

Hey Trik396,
I got some good news and bad news. Bet you've heard that before.
I just got off the phone with the service contact I have. He says that they (Dodge) have had numerous complaints with the radios. He is going to order a new one for me and let me know when to come by to get it changed. He doesn't even want me to bring it out first. This guy is awesome. It's the first time I've even talked to him.
I would recommend contacting a dealer near you. I am sure they will help, especially because of the numerous problems noted. Good luck.

Got my radio replaced today. In and out in just over an hour. Amazing...
If you haven't yet, you really need to call your dealer and talk to them. It's apparently a common thing. So much that when I finally spoke to the Service Manager, he took care of it then. That was Tuesday (last week). Friday, the Parts Manager calls me to tell me that my replacement radio is in and to call to set up the appt. Today was the first afternoon I was able to get away from work.
Hope you have similar luck as I have. I believe I have found a dealer that I will do business for quite a while.
