my truck was made in 08/04 but window sticker said 05.

if i get, say a quad race box do i get one for a 04.5 or 05?

If the sticker on the valve cover says the engine is a Cummins 600 it is an 04.5 vintage. If it says 610 it is an 05 vintage.

FYI - My engine was built in 07/04 and it is a 600 or 04.5.

I'm sure you could call Quad and they would gladly help you determine which model box to order for your engine.

 

tq is not listed on the valve cover. looks like you have an auto, so, hit the tow/haul button and see if it locks up in 3rd, if it does then its an 04.5, if it doesn't then its an 05.

HOWEVER, my window sticker said mines an 05 but cummins 600. misprint or truth i don't know, but i do know that i got the stupid retarded new 48re no lock up joke they came up with... of course i've got 05 badges too.

Looks like i don't know what the heck i'm talking about cause im starting to confuse my mind now.
