'03 4X4 Front Ends

For my info only, has the front end suspension on the '03 4X4 changed from other years? If so what are your impressions to date?

Regards

Wantabee

Yes it has changed. they are using a 5 link system up front. I think the ride is a little softer but steering feel is very good. Will take it off-roading in 2 weeks when I go hunting. I will give it the true test. Hope nothing breaks....

Re:'03 4X4 Front Ends

Looks like the basic design on the 2500's & 3500's is the same but the result is much improved. The steering is much better; no slop, good road feel, and this was one of the reasons I moved up to a 2003. The front end doesn't dive over speed bumps like my old truck did with the factory shocks; better choice of factory shocks I guess. Ride is smoother than older models. I haven't gone four wheeling so I can't comment on the off-road performance.
