Odd numbers have timing; even number no added timing!

I normally run software 3 all defaults except timing 3 (towing 95% of the time). After reading another post on another forum I switched to tq1 and i have seen a mileage improvement with plenty of power. Haven't towed with it yet and have not run a full tank for a hand calc'd but the over head is about 3mpg higher than normal. it is worth a try, will be doing an 8000 mile trip in june so will have a good chance to test it out. over a lot of miles this is the first big improvement i have seen (running software 3-5)

I was towing with mine on SW5, and that is where i got the best fuel mileage, both loaded and unloaded.

Smarty level 3

Except for the excessive smoke from over fueling I love setting #3. I have also tried 1, 2 & 5. My only mod is a valve body & I do have full gauge package, I'll stick with setting 3.

Eventually I need to update the Smarty programming & adjust some of the other parameters to reduce the smoke. It's embarassing at times how much it smokes when you get on it. But **** it sure pulls.

Update on trip, software 3 tq1 was a dog towing and no real mileage gain.
Running software 3, all defaults at 2 and all is well. lots of power, no smoke, and ok mileage. because of speed an 24' trailer we normally top out mileage at 10mpg, sometimes can hit 11mpg.

I run SW3 with stock settings as well. I have a 24' non-aerodynamic toy box that I tow and get between 10 and 11 MPG as well (which is an improvement from 9 or less! before deletes).

I was hoping to see more of a mpg gain, I'm still stock, waiting for correct down pipe, and dpf pipe, I get a good 9.5-10.5 mpg, towing my 12-13000# 5er, sometimes hit 11mpg

My experience so far is about a 1 to 1.5 MPG improvement towing. I'm sure there is some sweet spot in my driving style that I'm missing for more possible improvement.

It is amazing that I currently have about 330 miles on my trip meter with just over 1/2 of a tank still and the over head reading 19.9 at the moment (not towing). Yet when I tow, the overhead is at 10.5 to 11 and by 330 miles on the trip meter I would be running out of fuel. and looking to refill...

The deletes and Smarty are affording me about another 50 miles or more per tank now and this is very welcome and I'm happy about that.

I am running 18tnt, sw 2, tq 3, tm 4, vgt 4. It is really smokey if I am not carefull. I couldn't believe it but it makes a big difference on the vgt setting even with the stock turbo gone and aftermarket one in its place.

If you want smoke you should be getting it with switch, but the Smarty is very clean untill you get into the higher power levels. With the vgt set on 4 the turbo kicks in and cleans it up pretty fast, even with the switch.
