Does someone know if this vin is a 6.7 or 5.9? Just looking at a ride and wondering. thanks guys

Wow you getting rid of old silver?

 

It used to be the 8th digit. Im not sure if it still is. It used to be "C" in the 8th was a 5.9 diesel if I remember correctly on the 1998-2002.

When I see them on the lot....I look at the tailpipe, it has a crease by the bend. Where the 5.9 had no crease at the bend.

edit: I just looked at a couple 2008's online and they had a "A" in the 8th digit. I have no clue I guess. Good luck.

It is the 8th digit of the VIN#. C=5.9L, A=6.7L.
