High K 2008 6.7
I've had the truck since new it has 530,000km(330,000miles). It was deleted at 170,000k since then it's had a transmission rebuilt with heavy duty torque converter at 200,000k, a new head gasket with studs at 365,000k and just recently a BD OEM rebuilt turbo installed not to mention wearable parts replacement through the years. The injectors are still original and the motor and trans still pull hard, with gauges while towing I keep the EGT's below 1200 degrees which keeps boost around 15psi sustained although I've seen 30psi in short bursts usually without a load. It looks like the head is blown again, I have exhaust gas building up in the coolant and pushing coolant into the overflow, it's not as bad with lower boost pressure but a long pull with 12-15 psi is worse.I'll probably be bringing it in for another head rebuild but I'm wondering what else should be done while the head is off considering the high milage, I love the truck and hope to keep it for another 10 yrs or so. Tell me what you've done or what you think. Thanks
