Just would like to see what everyone is seeing as EGT on these newer engines, (Pre Turbo). I am @ 1200-1300 pulling it seems a bit on the high side and I am concerned.

Does anyone know the limit for these? At what temperature do you start to do damage to the turbo?

 

Mine was the same even higher when in regen.... Now if i see 1200 pulling 15000 Thats it....... Delete Delete Delete

 

I've seen about 1000 to 1100 pulling 10K or so. Deleted.

 

Thank you guys, I assume you meant that you have deleted the DPF correct?

 

Deleted DPF and disabled EGR for me, did not delete the whole EGR just took out the plunger from the motor that operates it. Programmer sets it to be zero as well anyway.

 

I've been pulling my toy hauler for 2 years and my egts have hit 1600 plus multiple times just going down the highway and I went to 3 different steeler ship said that's avg. temps.
