Boost bolt junk???

I installed a boost gauge and a boost bolt...is there any other place to get a boost reading from??? My boost gauge after about 15 psi jumps all over the place.

thanks

What spot did you get the boost bolt in? That may have an effect, but the boost gauges you get from autometer or isspro are internally snubbed to reduce any rattle or pulsating of the gauge.

you have it in the right place, not properly connected. a $15 glycerin filled gauge from ww granger works 10x better than the expensive ones. if you want to use the gauge you have you will need to add a snubber.

Snubber for boost pressure? I've never had an issue in any of my trucks with boost pressure pulsations.

I know I read a thread a while back where Blake Clark was having the same problems, he removed the boost bolt and tapped in a fitting somewhere else (unfortunately I don't remember where at this time) and his issues went away

That's right. I think he bought and installed an intake with a fitting there all ready or he simply tapped the stock manifold...
