The JR will do everything the SR will with the only difference being the power levels.

The jr has 3 power levels 40-70-100 and sr has 10 power levels from half power to 170. For what its worth id only buy the sr.

sooo, for me, a guy just looking for a few more towing MPG'g, would the jr work for my full delete setup. I'm not looking for 1000 #'s of tq, probably the 40 or 70 hp, settings would do it. Does any one know how much more tq, it gets say on the 40HP setting?

Sounds like the JR would be just perfect for you.

Not sure bout the torque rating.

On Saturday evening I just installed the deletes and Smarty JR ME. Stock hp tune and wow, the engine runs sooooo nice. The egt's are about 200 degrees lower and everything works so nice. No cel's (egr was unplugged before and lower power), everything works perfectly and Smarty has done their homework. Initially I was nervous about being my own warranty station, but since I don't have anymore drive line warranty or bumper to bumper, I figured why not, Cummins is a proven engine.

I'm a happy smarty owner.

Any more info on the 40,70,100 settings? What's the related torque gains if anyone could speculate?

Marco reported a rule of thumb of about 2x hp for torque increase. So for the 70 hp bump it would be 140 ft-lbs bump at the rear wheels.

I remember version 10 of the software, the torque was closer to 3x...

If you don't believe the increase, then just try a torque level other than #2 default. I like 3 myself..
