Has anyone installed an XZT & had codes for ECM & PCM come up? Installed one about 3 weeks ago and CEL came on 2 days ago. Delaer said the codes were for the PCM, ECM & 2other things I don't remember. Anyone have this happen after installing XZT? I don't think it's the culprit but thought I'd ask. TIA!

 

Apply dielectric grease to the connectors. my quad race box did that until i greased the connectors

 

i have problems to. just sent my xzt back to quadzilla to find to problem? It keeps sending code 1693. with no other codes.

 

Ok, first there is no way we can set ECM codes. I am not sure what codes you are setting so it is hard to diagnose the problem. When you say ECM codes I assume they would be like an 0602 code or something of that nature. There is no way that you can get those type codes with any plug in module. If you can get the codes we can certainly help you figure out what they are.

The ECM's in the VP44 trucks are a lot different. The modules and everything are actually a LOT different. Typically a 1693 code means that there is another code stored in a different location, after waiting for a second it should pop up with an actual code from another area?

Just getting a 1693 code is really odd. Does the truck run normal and it just turns a light on or does it do anything else?

 

I'll get codes from dealer on Wed. when I take it back to them to try & figure out exactly why the codes are coming up.

 

qzilla never got codes before. i talked to the techs at quadzillz and he wanted me to send it back for him to check out. my problem is that it keeps going into start up mode at idle or if the boost is under 2 psi,

 

I've heard of adding the grease for other situations but not for CEL. Yours quit throwing codes after you used grease?

 

Now I'm almost positive CEL is NOT from XZT. Dealer told me wrong info. I got the codes from ihm as follows:1740 TCC solenoid performance( 3rd time it has said this code & it's storing it)0633 SKIM Secret key not stored in PCM, 0151 Lost comm. w/ occupant restraint controller,& 0141 Lost comm. w/ FCM. The only one I think could be linked to the XZT is the last one seeing as the XZT is somewhat associated w/ the FCM, I THINK. Anyone know for sure, maybe qzilla? Any input is appreciated! I get the truck back later today, hopefully.
