windshield washer fluid for water/meth

Ok so I read everywhere that i need to get the blue 20 degree windshield wiper fluid. I have gone everywhere and all i can find is the 32 degree. Is it ok to use this orwhere can i get the right stuff. I just installed my cooling mist kit and wanna try it out for now im just running destilled water. Let me know what you guys think thanks.

32 degree washer fluid has no methanol and 20 degree f would have very little. You will most likely need to mix your own or just run water till the weather gets cold again so you can then buy some 0 degree F fluid but since you are in CA you may never see the washer fuild with meth in it.

He's probably talking about the -20. At least those are the three degradations I've seen at Walleyworld: 32, 0 and -20.

I put 2 bottles of yellow HEET in the -20 to give a good W/M ratio. Works out to a little less than what I would pay for the Snow juice at current prices.

I wish somebody would let me know where to get bulk meth near Denver in anything less than a 55gal drum.

I'm in the same boat, I even googled it and only came up with out of state that would sell.

I think buying the snow juice is our only option. There is a dealer over in Hacienda Hieghts. Just looked it up. As soon as I install mine, I'll most likely be calling or if you do since you have yours hooked up call and let me know.

Where did you install your inj.?? I've been thinking of drill/tap in the heat. delete block that I made.

Are there no Drag Strips or dirt tracks around you guys ?
Most race tracks have fuel sales at their facility to help out the racers and fans. You might even try your local High Performance Automotive Machine Shop, allot of those sell fuel or have it on hand for dyno runs.
Heck, our local Sunoco station used to have a 500 gallon Methanol tank till the friggin Dot Heads took it over.

I just read at the bottom of your sig. I work at a japanese owned plant that produces parts for the vehicles sold here and abroad. I don't own one of their vehicles and I've worked there for 17yrs. My job is in jepardy also. You have to actually see where the parts are produced to make that kind of claim, you have a very valid point as to buying AMERICAN made products, just be sure if an AMERICAN is employed in the process.

mpracehemi - I might be able to get it from cfn here in corona hopefully they will have smaller than 55 gal drums. ill let u know on mon. and for where i inject it just in the middle port of my s&b intake horn it has 5 ports, 2 down by the grid heater and 3 in the middle. i didnt know where to put it so i just put it in the middle hopefully someone that knows will chime in. So far my system works great i set it to start spaying at 16psi and full spray at 30. Just destilled water with the anti rust everyone recommends. It really cools though when it come on my egts just stop. with my stack all the way up i got it to about 1400 but that was a long hard run up to about 105 - 110.

I get mine at the local speed shop in 5 gal drum.

I'm not a fan of the washer fluid; not so sure I like injecting detergent into my engine too. To get the -20 degree stuff in CA, you have to get it at places over 4000' ft elevation. Where I live it can be had at the Napa.

See how long the wind.wiper tank last you with the water. If it lasts a couple weeks or ???. Maybe do a split on 5 gal. I could meet you there at Downs. I know where it's at. If the tank last that long, well it might for me 'cuz I don't drive that much 4 miles/day = m-thurs.

I'll check out a few other places around here but this weeks going to be busy. I gotta get my car ready for race day. Haven't even touched my car since Dec. Been mod. the truck, that's going to be never ending, too. 2 money pits. I wanted to install my dual carb'd intake for the race day.....I'll be running the truck down the track a few times, see what she'll do.
