Will a power wagon front diff fit?

Simple enough question. My front diff is acting up, and if im going to get someone to dig into it, i would like to upgrade. The power wagon diff is, so far, the only elocker i could suspect that might fit on the 3.73 9.25. So... will it fit? Or is there any other link to an aftermarket one that would work? Ive looked and found nothing.

thought a eaton from a chevy application would fit. some mods to the case may be needed. Might be cheaper.

ARB has a locker if you want to got the "air" route. I think the eaton would be a better bet though.

the air route seems a bit too complicated. a simple elocker i imagine would be the best. I would even settle for a limited slip, but i cant find a darn place out there that claims to sell ANYTHING that will fit.

Has anyone successful modified the front differential? (besides just welding the sucker)

You wouldn't want a limited slip in the front unless you only drove off road. That would be a bear to turn, and probably wear out very quickly.

okay after doing some extra research, i have found that it is not likely to work.

So, has anyone gotten an Eaton elocker from a GM to work in the front? besides grinding the case, what mods had to be made?

There's a few people out there that have done it.

Just buy the GM front locker from Eaton and take it down to the best differental shop in your area and tell them to install it and "Make it happen"

There's part numbers floating around here. It would be in your best intrest to try a Search here on DTR and read through the many threads on this very same topic.

Good luck

Use the search feature on here and type in Eaton E Locker... Threads galore for your reading pleasure. I think I was one of the first to put one in. It sucks on the axle grinding especially with the 3.73 - 4.10 not as much has to come out. - dont believe the ease of installation crap from Randys -even though they have been great with service and parts. If you put one in, make sure to put lock tite on the bolt that holds the center pin in the diff. It is a widely known problem that Eaton doesnt have this bolt tightened enough and it will come out letting the center pin hit the ring and pinnion.
