White smoke.. and plenty of it!

So, i was having alot of trouble with long starts, white smoke on start up, and after it warmed up smoking alot at idle.. pulled all 6 injectors.. had them tested... got 4 new injectors... got them installed... still long starts.. no more white smoke at start up... but now it smokes at idle... and when you rev it up white smoke like CRAZY! i have been thumbin thru forums.. and i have a few more guesses what it is... FCA... ( took a look and the connector is on but the clip is broke.. so it was duct taped on haha) ..... press relief valve on rail.... or possibly something else.. what do yall think?

Sounds like something went wrong with the install or you have another bad one.

just had all them tested.. all checked good.. and the install was good. all new copper washers o rings and torque specs in check.. (being a aircraft mechanic i know my way around a wrench) no water in oil.. no fuel in oil, i just dont know what would cause white smoke....

so... pulled the exhaust manifold off today... ran the engine... no unusuial smoke.. no oil residue in ports... pulled off turbo.... was really wet with oil... grabbed the shaft and could wiggle it around ALOT!! it is totally shot.. i could make it scrape sides.. fore and aft.. all bad.. haha. it was basically a smoke machine. ( and a verry effective one at that) the turbo shop down the road wants over $800 for a rebuilt swap... i was thinking this is a little too much... any thoughts on a better rout? maybe upgrade? :-)

I would definitely get a new turbo and not rebuild the teeny tiny stocker. Either one for the 04.5 and newer trucks (HE351) or aftermarket like from HTT.
