Whistle & Performance
Is there a performance gain to taking out baffles & stuff or just a whistle gain?
I did swiss cheese & noticed a significant difference in acceleration with just the right amt. of whistle. I dont want any more whine.
Some folks say the baffles actually direct the air properly to get the most out of the turbo.

The baffles are to muffle the turbo whine. Without them/silencer ring, you will here some serious turbo whistle. The white vaines in the bottom elbow of the intake tube are to straighten out the airflow as it enters the turbo. Keep 'em in there. I would argue that there are slight performance gains. I have no proof though other than how it feels.
