Where's Best Place to get CMF+
Where's Best Place to get CMF+
Browsing the web, but I know I'm missing good site to order the CMF+ intake horn.
Anyone seen performance comparison to the Glacier Diesel version/product?

I have run Glacier Diesel's Intake horn on all 3 of my 3rd Gen Cummins and have been very Happy.Spools alittle quicker and feel more low end power. Also have the The the Big line MK filters which attach nicley to them Glacier Diesel Power - Product Detail
Thanks (ref Glacier comment)... split decision on Glacier or CMF+ ..but I do like Glacier's stuff and excellent service.
Regarding the MK filter connection to the intake horn... I'm not savvy about that connection. "Air intake" + Fuel Filter"...the two don't mix in my mind...don't understand
Are you saying the fuel line runs "thru" the air intake? ((sorry don't get))

There was a comprehensive dyno test that compared several of the most popular brands of intake horns. Interestingly enough for you, the one that showed the most gains in hp/tq was the CFM+. The Glacier was second and pretty close to the CFM+. Both are worthwhile quality products, I wouldn't hesitate with either. Some have issue with the CFM+ being plastic. I run the CFM+ in my truck. It has about 8 years and untold miles and has withstood 100 psi from my turbos. I don't know what else can be said.
Regarding the fuel filter mention... what he was trying to relate is that the Glacier has a ready made external mount for aftermarket fuel filters that are so designed to mount under the hood to the intake horn. The CFM+ uses that area for bungs to connect water injection or use for a boost gauge hookup.

... the holes on the Glacier are there as "mounting" holes, not for actually connecting/passing a fuel line into. (bonehead me).
Thank you.
Regarding the CMF+, I saw comparisons to the couple other products (AFE and ATR), didn't see the Glacier comparison. Additionally, I don't know where (from whom) to buy the CMF+... is it only sold @ one location? (by whom?)
Do a google search. Many dealers carry it. It used to use dealer MAP pricing so it should be the same everywhere. But maybe not any more. It's been a few years.
Buy from the dealer you feel comfortable with.
I'll reiterate that the CFM and Glacier were head and shoulders above the rest in results. I'd be happy with either. Depends on what is important to you after the performance numbers.
