mine is under the steering wheel below where your left knee would be...to the right of the E-brake release and next to the diagnostic port

 

Mine mounted on the right side of the stearing and to the left of the ash tray. just high enough for me to use it if needed and out of the way for the most part.

 

Thats where I mounted my Sirius unit.

I put my prodigy under the dash above the gas pedal. Out of the way but still easy enough to reach in an emergency or to adjust. Lately I have been driving with the seat up pretty close and upright and I don't hit it.

 

That's excactly where i've got it, although I have a little more angle in it to recess it into the hole better. I'm glad someone else thinks the way I do. At 6'6" i don't need it in my right shin.

 

Here is where I mounted mine, I can see it and get to it quick if I need to.

 

Mine's hidden behind the knee bolster. I don't really need it that often and I can get to it by pulling the bolster down and letting it hinge at the bottom.

 

That's where mine is. Bang my right knee on it occasionally, probably not the best place for it to be in an accident.

 

 

When you are only 5'5" you do not have to worry about that!!!!!!!

I'm gonna mount mine just to the right of the hood release.

Does anyone know which fuse on the truck controls the section where the brake controler plugs in under the dash? I think mine is missing or blow 'cause it does not have any power comming out of that plug in and it should.

Mounted mine in the same place. I can see the numbers through the steering wheel. Have never hit my knee on it and I am 6'1". If I am in a wreak and this bangs my knee it will be the least of my worries. Very easy to reach here for manual control.
