WHAT WILL FIT WITH 4.5" LIFT ?
I Have An 05 2500 4x4 With The Tuff Country 4.5" Lift I Have Seen A Few Trucks On 37's And Most Of The Rest On 35's. Anyone Running 37's Without Issues? Any Rubbing On Full Turn Going Over Bumps, What Size Rims Are You Running? Any Hep Would Be Great. Thanks Alot
I'm running 37x12.50 BFG AT's on 17x10 wheels with 4.5 inches of backspacing. You could fit 37's fine with 8 inch wide wheels and 4.5 inches of backspacing, the wider wheels cause the tires to rub the lower part of the air dam a little. Now my air dam is gone and I have no rubbing at all. This is street use only, of course. If you unhooked the sway bar, it would rub like crazy.
I noticed you have an auto... I hope you have 4.10 gears. I have a 6 speed with 3.73's and although my truck is hopped up a little, I still wish I had lower gears for these 37's. I can tow 10,000 lbs fine, I just miss a little bit of that low end grunt... although, the truck does accelerate much faster now.
I don't have to shift as fast.

I was rubbing my air dam bad just backing out of my driveway with 35's on 17x10 rims with 4.5". I cut it about 2" on each side, now its fine on the street. Off-road they will rub on occasion.
My truck has 4.10's with the auto. If I went to a 37" tire I would probably end up putting 4.56's in, and a locker. When my speedo says 65 (I'm probably doing about 75) I'm at 2000 Rpm.

A lot of folks run 35" (or metric equivalent) stock with little or no rubbing.
I think 37's would fit nicely with 4.5" of lift...and if you don't offroad where your suspension will cycle completely then 38's (MAYBE 39's) for sure.

I run 37's with a 5" lift on 18x10's. I trimmed the airdam about an inch and put in 1/4" steering stops to keep it from rubbing the lower control arm at full lock. My tires are 13.5" wide at the tread though. 37's with 4.5" BS will rub the fenders. 6" BS fits great!! BS is crucial on these trucks. I've stuffed mine offroad many times and it's never rubbed and you can't tell a difference in the turning radius with the steering stops installed. Check my gallery for pics........
