I am in the progress of doing a '03 Cummins conversion in my '99 Ford. I have learned quite a bit about the Cummins engines over the last few months reading and talking to a few local shops.

My goals is to have a comfortable 450-500 rwhp daily driver, I can do anything with, tow etc.

My mods I have currently:
FASS 150/150
ATS exhaust manifold
ARP head studs
Custom air intake

Future mods (still undecided):
Van Aeken C5
ATS intake manifold or Joe Hellman intake manifold
Modified CP3
?Turbo?

I was wondering if the stock turbo would be sufficient or not, or something like a 62/65/13 would be better. I want minimum turbo lag as I can get, and I don't care about dyno numbers, I want streetable performance.

 

Ihave a htt62-12. I tow a 10,000lbs horse trailer in the mountains with egts never getting above 1250. makes 44lbs of boost really quick

 

II phat shaft 64/14 i dont pull to much but i can really lay into it and my egts wont go over 1250. I'd probably get a II super phat shaft 62 if i were u cause there will be less turbo lag
