Just wondering if someone had a good explanation of what a resonater is, and what it does?

 

It's basically a mini muffler that helps control/attenuate resonances. I need one....soon.

 

We put one on an Intertrashional at work that had a straight piped L10, it was still very loud but the resonator took the bite or the raspy sound out of the exhaust note. The one on my 02 "disappeared" last spring along with the muffler too.
