The moderate and wild smarty programs are a blast to drive as long as I don't look out the rear view....they are way too smokey for normal driving.
Scary Larry spools me up faster with less throttle and less smoke than crazy larry actually. With Scary Larry it spools and MOVES....Crazy Larry takes a smoke cloud to go anywhere and then its not very strong. But if you want to make smoke, Scary Larry can make some serious smoke but you have to try to do it. at 35-40mph on scary larry, i can punch it, drift around a corner, and have a cloud behind me. rolling into the throttle correctly, it doesn't smoke nearly as bad but it still moves

Flux 1 Injectors...or Flux 2 injectors or bigger and CP3 mods.

Gotta kinda decide how much you want. Flux 1's and the TST on your truck should make 600 plus hp....all that the little 62 can handle.

Now that is interesting!!! You described this program as exactly what I am looking for, and it's obvious that it blows away the Smarty programs seeing how crazy larry beat out the best smarty tune by a small margin. Is the scary larry tune a no rail pressure added program like crazy larry? I bet the MP8 with the scary larry tune (assuming no pressure is added) would be an amazing combo that I think I'll have to try out.

That's true...I'm already at 540 RWHP so not much more to gain except maybe in the torque department. Will Flux 1's make the truck crank out even more smoke at low RPM throttling?

How about just an upgraded CP3 but no injectors?? Is that kind of worthless to do since I have an MP8 already, and since the stock injectors probably aren't outflowing the stock CP3??

Hey Rob, I saw your video over at another site. The credits in the video say you have the Crazy Larry and Smarty. I'm sure this is wrong unless you had one on for one run and then pulled it and downloaded the other for another run. What exactly were you using during those runs?

I stack it with my XZT....for pressure and boost fooling. it works well

The XZT really helps it get moving easier down low and i believe that may be whats helping me keep it low on smoke......but the MP8 should work the same way.

be warned....there is confusion as to what truck this program will and will not work on. I know (and Luken too) that its awesome on 05 automatics....but i have no idea how it would work with a stick. for $50, its worth a chance!

It states in parenthesis a lower HP and torque figure next to the "Smarty" listing in the credits. I figured this made it clear that the Smarty was also run but didn't make max power....maybe not?

Okay, that's good to know! Anyone in particular I should speak to over at Xtreme TNT regarding it?

Thanks! I only wish I could have loaded the motor enough on the dyno to see 48-50 psi, then I could have acheived the magical 1000+ ft/lbs.

Speaking of that, does the scary larry remove the speed limiter, or is that even an option on the triple dog? If I could make a pull in 6th gear, I'm sure it'll load it enough to see 45+ psi.

Rob, if you got the time and $ while I was in there doin studs and injectors I would do a cam and springs too. There should be some power to gain but I think it will help with spool up and all round drivability just as much.

Just a thought

Oh....I wouldn't assume that the cam would help with spool! Coming from a world of turbo gassers, the bigger the cam, the slower your spool...but everything seems to be the opposite with diesels. I dunno....it's a lot to consider.
