what to do
ok guys i do not know much about the newer models and modding them up so looking for everyones ideas on a mild chip that would work ice without worrying abot cooking the tranny. getting a loaded up 06 3.73 gears.

Well, I have the quad xzt tow module and like it alot. It is a 65 hp/150tq module that modifies pressure and timing. Some people can actually gain some mileage (1-2mpg) with it if they can keep their foot off it.
I believe that this module is safe on everything, but as you probably know even stock trucks can get trashed if not treated right or just plain bad luck.
Good luck on your search and there are a dozen other choices besides mine. Ive had good results and recommend xzt to anybody.

Well, from what i've heard anything beyond the 80-100hp threshold is probably dangerous for a stock tranny. I'll admit i'm not much more than a rookie on this subject. Hopefully somebody who is more experienced will chime in their opinions/experiences.
