What can I do about all the Smarty smoke
The EAA189 AmsOil Air Filter is a cheap FAST way to get much more air.
I put it in and can only budge the Filter Minder a little bit (Smarty on #9 with boost fooler, after a hard run limiting boost to 42 PSI with my right foot)
Before STOCK (pre Smarty) I could pull it down 1/2 way with the stock airfilter (clean and new)
I was really impressed with the change.
Then I added the shower drain in the bottom of the air box and ran the hose to the bottom of the fender well (Cold Air intake) Not sure that is making any real difference. The AmsOil filter sure did.
It along with a Quad Boost fooler makes a big difference with the current Smarty SW. If it comes out with the enhanced boost (42 psi limit up from 32) programming the Quad boost fooler will not be needed.
This will save me 10 minutes every time I take it into the dealer.
I am really looking forward to the new version of the SW.

When I first got my Smarty it was way to easy to smoke out the countryside (I think it looks cool
), but it is not necessarily the best thing
, so I tried a different program to see what would happen.
I installed and downloaded the MODERATE torque management program and it does not smoke half as much with proper driving etiquette, but can still lay down a decent cloud if you stand on it. Plus I gained some more fuel mileage.

So I thought I was getting quite a generous amount of smoke also. Then I also lost an injector. I just got my truck back yesteraday afternoon, and reloaded #3 (Beta 4.4). On the drive this morning, I noticed a significant decrease in smoke. My bad injector must have been flooding #6 cylinder with fuel.
