i live about 30 minutes north of detroit, MI. i have always been a do-it myself type of person and have a pretty good knowledge about cars/trucks. so this would probably be something i would do in my drieway or a buddy's house with a lift. all i want are the parts and i will handle the rest...unless i could get a great deal on the parts and an install for relatively cheap.

i just see no reason to pay $1000 for an install or more...doesnt make sense for me thats all. keep up the great responses guys. i really appreciate it.

what type of price range will i be looking at for just the parts. i really dont need any billet input shafts and things like that...or do i? i would like to have a compound setup and a few other things be next winter time if i could...but im also looking to buy a house so with keeping up on the race car( talon)... the truck needs to be relatively cheap and reliable also.
thanks again.

do you need billet shafts? are you going to be launching hard in 4wd?

heres some numbers i have laying on my desk....

Dave Goerend Valve Body : $475 Torque Converter: $1100

i also have prices on suncoast and more dave G stuff......but i still prefer DTT just don't have the prices right here in front of me. My entirely billet DTT should run me $7k after my other shaft is installed (i am still lacking the billet output shaft, i ran out of $)

my tranny from nadp was 5 grand canadian,, all billet,, billet tourque too,, I then added a mag hytec deep pan,, and a aftermarket flex plate,,, best money I have invested so far,, very rock solid,, I have seen engines that they have built with over a 1000 hp running thier trannys,, all good. In fact the very tranny I have in my truck is going to be featured in an upcoming magazine article ( not sure if it is diesel power mag or not,, one of the 2)
