Lightbulb Well, call me dumb  tst problems

Well, I got my TST in on Friday, of course installed right away. Plauged by low boost and check engine lights, I was fedup. Redo the harness, remove MP8, turn back timing I added with the tone wheel, so on and so forth. I was only getting 30psi with the boost elbow closed all the way. It would pop and stutter and Edit near stall when you got on it. I'd clear the codes, they'd come right back. I had some interesting ones, that shouldn't exist. I had a P4100 and a P16?> code, haha. Since I've redone all the wiring and uninstalled and reinstalled both boxes about 5 times, I go to their site and just look around. Tadaa, FAQ page, or as I call it, "I'm a dumb end-user" page. Sure enough, my problem is well documented. My alarm has autostart, and taps into pin24 on the ECU. I go, well it's worth a shot, so I clip the wire, clear the codes, and go for a test drive. Edit. So this is the twins program . It was fast.. reealll fast. No more check engine light, no problems, no horrible stumbling and popping, nothing. To be honest, it's my fault. I'm going to install a zener diode on that wire and see if I can shunt reverse-voltage from the alarm and see if that makes everything play nice together. Oh, and for a status report with TST w/ early 03 twins program and MP-8... wow. 2nd gear TC locked up at 35mph, floor it, it spun the tires and kept them hopping til about 53mph. My poor stock turbo

I love you TST.

Thanks to TomeyGun for helping me as much as he could, lending a hand when he could..

Glad you got it figured out.
It's pretty satisfying when you overcome the problem at hand on your own, isn't it?

[laughs] I'm trying to figure out exactly how the wire tapped could mess with the TST enough to throw a code, when it doesn't without it. Off to RadioShack to go buy some zeners and schottky (sp?) diodes to try to fix the problem. If all else fails, I'll go to work and roll out the oscilliscope to see whats going on.

3x3. I have the early03 twins program, the more aggressive one. Just keep it under 5 and all is well, heh.

Just wait till you have a tranny and a turbo that can handle 6-4 with the TS at 50% all day.
