we finialy get aluminum dually wheels
Ok, Im confused. I have Alcoas and have had for a few years now. I have a Dually. The Alcoa deal on the rear is a single aluminum wheel on the outside rear with a stock steel wheel on the inside.
Is the AE wheels using a systems with both rear dual wheels aluminum? Alcoa told me the big deal with not being able to use two aluminum wheels in the rear was the studs were not long enough to extended through both (thicker than steel) wheels.
How does the AE system keep you from having to get longer studs. Its been since 2000 that I nstalled dually rear wheels. Maybe things have changed??

Guys, The truck weighs 7850 #'s The trailer with load weighs 26500#'s. The registered gross max on the truck is 12000 (highest I could get) The gross max on the trailer is 21,000. For a 33,000 pound total. I've been over 5% on two trips (5% is the limit before I have to dump at the scale I have to cross). We're just adding a 4th axle on the trailer to shift the load back as the axle weights have been as follows front 4200, Rear 11480 trailer 18820. (approx as I don't have scale print out on me) Current Rear tire 2835# x4 = 11340 # ks
The rear manufacturers gvw on your truck should be something like 9,350 lbs. So divide that by 4 and you get 2,337 lbs. So unless you overload the trucks axle, which you ARE doing these rims are fine.
