That's a great price for pure meth - just a little higher than #2.

Thanks for the tip!

How many jets do you use? What's their flow rate? What boost do they initiate at?

I used 2 nozzles. If I remember correctly they were 16gph and 18gph (Coolingmist uses the gallon per hour measurement). The controller is fully adjustable on the fly, but I typically run the start at 17psi and the max at 30psi. When towing I run the "Tune" (basically the pump duty %) on 7 instead of 10 because there's just too much extra power with a 40%+ mix of meth.

"Too much extra power" ?

Are you feeling OK... I can recommend a good therapist!

Seriously, though - you didn't need that much towing, or was it a temp issue?

Thanks, but I've already tried the best and they still can't seem to help me.

I only tow a 5k load (14' tandem axle w/Toyota rockcrawler) so didn't really need the extra power at all. The other mods alone gave me plenty of power to keep up with my buddy's Duracrap. I have towed with it on 10 before, but with a 13yo truck pushing over 40psi of boost it just seemed unnecessary and asking for something to break. I try to limit my use of full power to when the truck is empty/unloaded.

The W/M was mostly for EGT reduction and the extra HP was just icing on the cake. Let's just say the cake has so much **** icing now, you have to wipe some off before eating it!

With water/meth possibly being bad for a motor how about a nitrous setup? Has anyone heard of terrible things happening?

Nitrous is fine - actually beneficial - as long as you use it wisely!

(now, where did those 250 shot pills get to?....)

I know, I was just being a jacka$$, . It would be cool if they did. It would be the size of a 55 gallon drum in the back of the bed!

That reminds me - what size nitrous bottle are you guys using? I went to mount my 10# tank on the other day, and it was a lot bigger than I remembered! Couldn't even stuff it in the engine bay...

Always read the label:

Bottle - 15#
Gas - 10#
= 25# bottle

Water methnol can be a good thin if used right. The water methnol can actually clean your cylengers fo any built up carbon but this also washes your cylendr walls. this is why water methnol is used rarely or at least when there is alot of cool fuel entering the cylender. if you use too much water meth injection, you can actually cease your engine. This all depends in how much water gets into your cylenders. For this reason, many kits run two small nozzles to get smaller water dropplets into the system. big drops of water are BAD!!!. I have built my own water methnol kit for about 200 dollars and i love it but do some reasherch before you install this. Also for those of you paying $20 for 4 gallons, unless you live in california just go get some .50 cent gallon of washer fluid. This is premixed water methnol. and the blue food dye won.t do anything.

If anyone wants to build their own water meth injection here is a great website that some guy did alot of work on. This will give you plans and part lists for a system.

I run the CoolingMist system (as is available in these forums web-store) as well. Very noticeable improvement in the race setting.

My water/meth kit I built cost ~ $160, but I fabricated much of it in the shop, like the SS 10 gallon underbed tank and most of the fittings.

Denatured alchohol shortens the life of the injection pump.
