Hi, I would like to elimate the belt tensioner on my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 cummins engine. I have previously done this that on 4bt cummins. I took a manual alternator slide adjustment and converted it to a 4bt cummins engine. I do not remember exactly what the bracket I used came from. Doing this swap really does work good because you can elimate the belt tensioner completely.
Has anyone done this swap or no what slide bracket to use? Thanks 64fairlane

 

Why would you want to eliminate the tensioner? What is the advantage?
