is there any difference is installation of springs in a 06 truck than my 04.5 truck? also if I bring #1 to TDC whcich other piston is at top also so I can do that cylinder? I just did my springs but the head was off. Rob

 

Yeah the valve springs are the same on all of the 5.9L common rails. I went to the dealership and talked them into letting me borrow their compressor when I did mine. When you bring #1 to TDC I believe that #6 will also be at TDC and you can do them at the same time. To verify TDC I took a telescopic magnet and put it down the injector hole and watched it as I rotated the engine. It's actually a pretty fun job.
