How much duration does the TST box have vs. the VA 3.2? Does anyone have any idea, or even a quantifiable way to determine which adds more?

 

Everything I've read and been told says the TST is in a league of its own and nothing, including the VA, can touch it as far as performance is concerned.

 

I'm not comparing the total package, just the amount of duration the TST adds.

The TST adds so much on the higher TQ settings that I don't think anyone is able to use them. It drains the rail really quickly. The VA makes plenty but not nearly that much. The duration is what makes the EGTs jump so you want to be careful. The fact that the TST adds some timing too keeps the temps down....

 

That is actually what my gut tells me. I have a suspicion that the VA adds about as much duration as you can use. I just have no way to really know.
