I was looking @ upgrading my X2 Standard to the Race version. I was wondering if those who did it, what you thought & did you really noticed a big difference. The 100HP ain't enough. Do ya'll know how many lbs. of torque the race version makes? TIA

 

Nobody has the race X2?

 

I went from the standard 100hp to the 140 race version on my '03. Waste of money. The 140 setting does not net any more power, and in fact others have dyno'd less on that setting. Quadzilla said I needed other modifications to realize the power from that setting. I must have missed that in the advertising.

I've since added the Smarty and stack the two since the Smarty doesn't add pressure. Quad on 60hp and Smarty on whatever setting you choose is a great combo. I use Smarty #2 + Quad 60hp for towing. I roll by most towing anything on hills and EGTs are in check @ 1200*.

 

Is it because you have the '03 you need more mods? Are you not getting good boost or is your wastegate modded?

 

I have a boost elbow with a mechanical wastegate and get good boost (36 psi on '03s).

Your '06 may react differently with the race, but I haven't heard anyone report any gains on a dyno going from the mid setting to the high.

What I can tell you is that Quad did the job I needed for towing, and Smarty made it better.

 

I upgraded from the standard box to the race box about a year ago and could really tell a difference. My wast gate is modified and I can boost at the most 39 psi. I have a few other minor mods if that really makes a difference. Then I upgraded to the race X2 and like it even more and can definitely feel the difference.
