What aftermarket turbo would you guys buy if you had my truck, need some good suggestions, i do not tow anything over 5000lbs? Just wanting to make my truck perform better.

 

I would go with the Holeset HX40... I think you have the HX35 on your truck. The HX40 is a good factory turbo... but alot more power. Check the website.

Looked at my turbo the sticker said HE341CW. On Cummins website there is a HX and HE lineup. The HE lineup is HE200,300,400,500. Anybody know what turbo i got and what horsepower it is rated for?

 

You've got an He351, (unless they changed in 06) it's goog for 35 psi boost, but due to the really small exhaust side, does'nt cool very well. and when towing even with the stock 275 rwhp runs way to hot for my likeing.

For a new turbo look at HTT's HTB2 series turbos and Industrial injections Phat shaft and super Phat series.

I chose the SPS62 and i am really liking it, it's super drivable quick spooling and cools really well, and at the dyno last weekend i put down more power than i did with the twins i just removed. TST 5x4, and what really suprised me was at 3x3 on TST it still put down 477 rwhp.

A full throtle 500 hp run to 90 mph only hit 1200 degf, i hav'nt towed with it yet but i imagine it will do very well .
