Looking to install a turbo timer what is the best one to go with a timer or one that hooks to the egt?

 

I would tell ya to get an egt timer. Different times of the year makes for different cool down periods. I've seen instant off all the way to 3 or 4 minutes to shut down. my .02.

 

I have the BD Cooldown and find it works very well. I have it set at about 400*. The only problem I had with install was that it wouldn;t shut down by pressing the brake as designed, a problem BD was unable to resolve, I installed a push button current interupt that does the job and now all is good.

if the reason for the Turbo Timer is to bring the EGT down to x degrees before shut down. it would make sense to go by EGT and not timed...
so mine will be set @ 350 when it gets here...
