TST - PMCR dyno?

Did I miss it? Has anyone dyno'd this on different settings? I thought maybe someone would have done this already...atleast up to 5X5....

anyone got the skinny on the numbers?

sorry if this is a repeat- JKE

Well,I dynoed my SO,and stock it went 190hp with the box on 7x5 did 355hp on 9x7 it did 356 hp and starved for fuel. Not bad for a SO!I have a pusher pump waiting to go on in the next few weeks so may be it will do better![laugh]

355 RWHP is a nice punch, especially for a SO. Question is, is it drivable on 7X5?

With out the pump it kinda surges but you can run it on that setting.Kinda suprised me it went that high! Can't wait to get the pump on and see what it will do.

How are your EGTs at 7X5, or whatever level you normally drive at. Are they manageable at that setting?

katoiler 03-28-2004 12:17 AM

I run it on 6x5 most of the time and the EGT'S are about 650deg.@70mph and 8lb boost.I even towed two cars, two scooters and gear to vegas and ran the box on the same setting and dropped it down to 4x4 on the Baker grade and still ran 70+ up the hill with the EGT'S running 1070deg.The pyro is pre turbo.I'm guessing the SO's run a little cooler than the HO's.Mark was impressed when I told him what it did and what I towed on.

Did you have to run up over Cajon or did you start up there? I have a 35' pull trailer that runs as high as 13k. With the stock SO, it pulls me as low as 48mph up the hill.

As I recall the SO has lower compression than the HO, so everything else being equal it should run at lower temperatures. It appears that depending upon how additional power is achieved, a lower compression to start with might be an advantage in some cases.

No i live in lancaster and it is above Cajon pass.
