Im not really sold yet :( Theres alot of mixed reviews about the pod on this thread. My truck is slowly going to be customized, and I really dont want to deal with the window pod constantly needing to be re-glued, re-taped, or whatever. It is a great idea, and location, and when you see pics in cataloges, they make it look really good, but I take advice from true customers that have dealt with the product personally. Also too, I dont want to start smearing glue, or silicone on a brand spanking new windsheild.

Why doesnt anybody design a bracket, that has like a plastic backing in the shape of the back of the pod. Have it mount to the window with the same glue as the rear view mirrior. Maybe the bracket can have like little holes in it, and you apply drops of glue in those certain areas. Set the backplate to the glass, let the glue dry. Than take the Pod itself, and snap it into the back plate. In 13 yrs of driving so far, and numerous vehicles. Ive only had one rear veiw mirror fall off, it's like a magical glue!! [laugh] (Hey, If somebody makes this bracket, I get a cut of the profit!!) LOL

I'll wait a few more days to see if Im gonna purchase the pod, just cant make the jump, when alot of yous have had the same problem with them wanting to fall off and blister :(

Another question for you guys that have this pod.. Where does the wire go from the rear-veiw mirror, does it get hidden in the pod, do you have to cut a notch in the back of the pod, and channel the wire?? Just wondering what you do with the rearveiw wire??

there is a channel in the center of the pod to accomodate the harness from the rear view mirror. one thing that is key, is you must securely mount the gauges in the pod or you will have leaks of light in any gaps..........some gauges fit tighter than others, i have isspros and they were o.k., i woulda preferred a bit more snug "press" fit, but they turned out pretty good..........
