The only real diesel shop within 100 miles of me that installs and repairs them carries only these 2.
More info???
I want to bring my truck to the dealer and have them install it... so they can't blame me for 'installing it wrong' and voiding my crap.
I would call jeff garmon in atlanta and have him build me one IMO

I installed my tranny on my own, and Dusty didnt say it voided my warranty! He even offered to install an intermediate shaft for free if in a year i would pull the tranny out and send it back to him so he could look over his work to see where he could improve the tranny.

I love my Sun Coast. To be honest, the lady that works the phones there is not the most pleasant person to deal with. That said, my experience with Sun Coast was still far superior to the experience I had just trying to order from Goerend.
All in all, these transmissions are very similar but the brand loyalty is insane.
All I did when it was time for me to decide was think about all the transmission threads I had read in previous years. ATS seemed to be the most troublesome based on what I have read. However, it's a crap shoot with anything you buy these days. I think the install and warranty are much bigger factors than bragging rights.

Well, boys, I went with ATS (even tho the poll won for suncoast, thanks for your votes anyway...
) Seems that I know a guy that works there, and I'm not worried about customer service now that I know he's there. That's the only reason that I was not wanting to go with ATS. My local dealer has an ATS in his truck, and I've seen the way he abuses it... it holds up well for him and he has a lot more juice than I do.
I'll post some pics when I get the tranny. Ordered it yesterday. $$$$
