Too Much Fuel Pressure...?
Too Much Fuel Pressure...?
is there a such a thing as too much fuel pressure from your low pressure fuel system?
i plan on purchasing a FASS pump and found that they offer pumps that put out 45 to 50psi, i dont care to buy one now and then have to buy another one when i get the twin cp3's and injectors and all that good stuff.

I'm running an Aeromotive A1000 with the regulator set as low as it goes (30psi) without any problems. However I'm not using the factory filter housing. A local D-Max shop said that he tried to run 30 to his D-Max (which uses almost the same cp3) Wouldn't idle right at that PSI.
i do not intend to run the stock filter or housing (glacier delete kit), but at 45lbs, i have heard store from other dealership techs about blowing te seal off the front of the cp3 and filling the crank case with diesel but in almost 5 years of working on cummins in dealerships i have never had one come in.
