Those with 6" lift and 37 13.50 tires ?

Hi, getting ready to put 6" superlift on my truck 04.5 CTD and I have already bought my tires 37x13.50x17 dick cepek fun country II.My rims are 17x10 weld stonecrusher with 4.5 backspacing and today I stuck 2 of the tires on to see how it was going to look ,using jacks to get close to the 6" lift and it looked killer. But my problem is the front tires will not turn all the way they hit back of fender . I think the truck will go a little higher with lift v/s using jacks but still dont know if tires are going to clear? What size rims is everyone running and what backspacing? I cant wait to put on lift now that I see how its going to look just worried about wheels now, any help greatly appreciated thanks.

They are gonna rub the back of the front inner fender. You need a wheel with about 5" of backspacing or more IMO.

yeah they are going to rub the plastic on the inner fender, but nothing a die grinder and a steady hand can't fix

With just the jacks under it,the tire cut into the fender and started to bend it. I just wondered if the lift would raise it high enough to clear since I already have the wheels?

The easiest thing to do now would be to get some new wheels with a greater offset.

would a 17x9 wheel with a backspacing of 5" be enough or do I need more because now I am going to have to sell the 17x10 ,s I have now to get more wheels so I need to know for sure what size and backspacing to get. Also could the 37x13.50 17 be put on the stock wheels or are they to much for stock? THANKS FOR ANY HELP

I would think they are too wide for stock wheels. It'll probably cause uneven wear and if you have the chrome clad wheels they will most likely crack.

Try sticking with a 9" wide wheel that has 5"+ of backspacing to fit the 37x13.50's with 6" of lift.

i think they'll be too wide for the stock wheels...a 9" wheel with closer to 5.5" of backspacing would be best, but 5" should be good with 6"s of lift.

Here are some shots of my truck.

total lift- 6" superlift and 3" bodylift. no rubbing issues with 20x10 wheels (4.5 back spacing) and 37x13.5x20 pro comp extreme's

before I installed the Gap Gaurds

Front end torn apart installing the bodylift.

side shot of the truck after gap guards installed

the kit comes with everything you need including bumper brackets.

what made me go with the bodylift was it was cheaper than buying smaller tires or new wheels. My buddy and I did the lift in 1 day. it was a long day but it got done.
