T/C & valvebody enough for smarty/mp8 ?

will this hold this stack or should I go for a full build? Kinda cash strapped right now . I know a guy locally who has said he'd biuld it for me but I'm trying to go in stages

Probably not. If you hook up, with all that torque, you could snap something. Maybe an input shaft, flexplate or something like this. If you're going to tear into it, it's cheaper to do it all at once. It's labor intensive to R-n-R a trans on our trucks and that labor ain't cheap...

As long as you keep torque mgt on, you shouldn't have problems. I ran 13.50's at over 8,000 pounds and never had a problem with the valvebody and torque converter only. The first time I tried to launch without torque mgt, I snapped the output shaft..
