Superlift Techs No Good.

I got a Truspeed for my truck to get the speed-o right with the 35s. Anyway there color codes do not match the 2005 truck I have. I talked to one of there techs 4 times on how to hook it up. The wire is supposed to be dark green/ yellow tracer. My truck has a regular green color with yellow tracer. The Superelift Tech finally said hook to that green/yellow wire, that should be it. Now My truck has the ABS light on and the speed-O is still the same as it was. I call them back, tell them what happened, Tech said "Oh we never installed one on an 2005 yet"!! What kind of Techs are at Superlift? Be careful with Superlift. Now My truck has to go in to clear the ABS, it will not clear with the battery off.

Techs

My question is against yours, not to the Techs. On your truck a 2005 take it to a dodge dealer, they can go in and change the Pinion factor to correct your speedo. All they do is change the revs per mile from stock to like 501 for 35 inch tires. I don't think the true speed thing will even work with a 2005. You may want to go to the dealer and check before possibly screwing something up with the truck cause of this.

i was told the true speed doesn't work on 2005. and the dealer couldn't adjust for tire as big as 35". i am in the same boat trying to adjust my speedo. i've had the superchips 3805 and it will do it but you have to run a performance program to do it and not sure i want to keep using the 3805.

Your dealer is full of it. They changed mine, but it took some arguing(they said they could'nt do it) They change it through the abs menu.

If the dealer won't program it, take it to another site that will program it, and you can tell your dealer you'll gladly pay the other guy to do it. Dealers are full of crap. I know a few that have 37's and it's worked for those.

I spoke with my aftermarket salesman for my Jeep parts and ordered the Truspeed for the truck today. It is the same part number as my 04 Wrangler, 33002. Going on the Megacab. He said it will work. I'll report back.

Why would you add something like that to your truck when you can have the dealer re calibrate the pinion factor?? I'm not trying to force opinions or anything like that, but your spending another 100 dollars on something that you don't require. Your truck has the ability to be changed to correct for the speedo correction in the computer. Try this first, you may save a few bucks from not having to do this.

Most of the older trucks (pre 93 ish) didn't have this in the computer already, that's why there good for that, but the rams (pretty sure the mega cabs) have them.

I was told the dealer could not do it. I call Superlift and they told Me the Truspeed would work on 05s. I found a dealer that is going to do the calibration. It took a while to find one. I will know today if they did it right.

lok at it that your not puuting as many real miles on your truck. when my dad had his dmax and quads tuner he would set his tir size to like 40s to not put as many miles on the truck.

Sounds like there trying to make an extra buck (telling you it would work on an 05) and it may darn well work on an 05, but you already have that feature built into your ECM

Try another dealer if this one dosn't make it work. If not print out some instructions from here and take it in. My dealer wanted to know how I had a copy of the procedure and the TSB, told them I do research. They treat you much better that way. Get that truespeed sucker on e-bay, make some bucks back. I had the high idle enabled on my truck, done free of charge.

Got the speedometer done. So far so good. The dealer gave me no problem, just a $63.44 bill. The Superlift Truspeed is on its way to Summitracing for an exchange on other parts. Sent back as a defective part. Still will not trust Superlift Techs again. Thank for advise guys.

No problem. Hey if DTR can't help you, or fix a problem, then nobody will be able to

In all seriousness, this place rocks, it will have the answers and whether you like them or not, most of them there right. I know I've found that out. They do know there stuff on here. Don't let anybody else give you wrong information. Hey you made the first step, bought a dodge

06 QC CTD no Truespeed

I just had a 6" lift put on my 06 with 37's and was told by the dealership prior to having it installed that the pinion factor could be adjusted. When I took it into the service dept. they said that 05 was the last year for that. I looked on superlifts website to find the Truespeed mod and found that eventhough it shows that it is an option for the 06; the part # only goes to 04 and no body has bothered to reply. Sounds like even if they do reply I'm only going to hear what I want to hear and not what I need to hear. Are there any other programers out for the 06 CTD?
