Sunglass Cubby Gauge pod

I know a manufacture use to make a 3 gauge pod that fit in the center dash sunglass cubby (below the radio) but for the life of me I can't find it anymore. (nothing on ebay and I haven't seen it on any of the diesel product sites I have looked at) does anyone have a source for this or did they stop making it? I want to move my gauge from the a piller because it advertises too much for my taste

Thats what I did, moved it from the Apiller to the cubby hole used to live in a small college town where ever other truck was a diesel that wanted to race you and having them up on the Apiller just made it worse. There is a way to move your AC controlls down to where the cubby hole is and move your gauge pod to the middle hole but it requires some cutting that I just dont feel like doing yet.

I have had three of my gauges in the console pod for over three years now. I did swap with the A/C control module a couple years ago. It does require hacking on the center console to do, but it really makes the gauges much easier to glance at and see.

Looks good raised up like that and now that I have seen it done...hacking up behind the scenes never bothered me much...so when I have it apart this weekend I will have to take a good long look at making that change.

BTW - thanks for the part number...added it to my latest shipment from summit and it will be here Wed.

I swear it's like 'tapping' it at a beer party....once you start the flow its all over and you just keep going back. First the injectors, then the turbo, now the gauge updates, next I'll be putting in the trans....

No they do not make one for that, but I have seen one that relocated the 4x4 switch to the cig-lighter location and then used the console pod.

To do the relocate, I removed the console, the A/C control. Remove the cubby hole insert. Make a template from the A/C control. The A/C control is bigger than the lower hole. Mark the console with the template. Center template inside top of lower hole to mark cutout. Make the trim on both sides and bottom of lower hole. Not much trimming is necessary, some on sides and 3/16 or so on bottom. I used a dremel tool. If you take your time and go slow it will look just like factory. The A/C control module can be secured to the console with the bottom two screw holes from the cubby hole insert with existing holes in the A/C control module. The top two screw holes for the cubby hole insert are a little off. If you use a washer on the screw it will overlap the A/C module on top and secure very well. Console guage pod install is the same on top as on bottom and uses brackets on the outside guages to secure to the console.

Clear as mudd?? Hope that helps.

BTW, I will suggest not using the dremel tool after 6 or 7 Coronas, can make straight lines look wavy. Without the Coronas should be an hour project plus guage install.
