I'm goin to probably sell my stock turbo when I upgrade to the sps 62. Im wondering if it is only good for a 3rd gen or if it can be used on a 2nd gen truck.

 

Is there anyone on here who can tell me??? This is my second post tryin to find out. I guess Ill just go talk to Harry at Piers.

IIRC, your HY35 has an electronic wastegate that would only work on another 04.5+ truck. I seem to remember somebody mentioning how to modify the electronic wastegate to make it mechanical but I don't remember who or the thread. Might do a search on it though.

 

i'll take it off your hands.they can do mods on them but it is expensive.waste gate can be changed but takes som work

 

I just put mine on the shelf in the garage. One day someone is going to want one in a hurry and I will have mine ready to go at a reasonable price.

 

Theres not really any work to making the 04.5 turbo work for another truck.

Its simple.
1. Cut silicone wastegate hose insert bolt and hose clamp off.
2. Run boost line from intake side or even new supply route from turbo to waste gate.

Thats it.
