Steering stabilizer
Who makes a good stabilizer for our trucks? I've looked at the BDS, Kore and Superlift(I think). I'm running 355's with a 5" lift. Which would be better, single or dual? I do off-road occasionally if that makes a difference. Any recommendations or experience with any brands is welcomed. Thanks...
I had my stock stabilizer damaged when my truck was towed in Chicago(thanks windy city) and after pricing the stock replacement, I decided to go with the dual Superlift. Installation took about an hour as you have to grind/cut off the ears on the original. I am very happy with the results. The truck feels new again even with the larger 295 Nittos. It eliminated the wandering and the drift to the right on a crowned road. It seems to give a little tighter feel and feedback through the steering wheel.
I've always had Rancho's on my jeeps and toyota pickup. I like them because they tighten up the steering quite a bit. The longest I've had one is 8 years on a toyota 4x4. Still worked like it was new. My buddy has dual Superlift ones on his 04.5 RAM 2500 also running 355's. I drove his truck and they seemed pretty good, but I didn't notice any more tightness on the steering than on my stock RAM with 315's. Just my .02.
