Question Stage 2 Upgrades

I HAVE INSTALLED A AFE INTAKE, MBRP DUAL EXAUST AND A TRIPLE DOG PROGRAMER W/ OUTLOOK MONITOR ON MY 05' DODGE 2500. WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD NEXT STEP? I'M WANTING TO END UP WITH AROUND 500 TO 600 HP.

well I don't know if your 6 speed or auto but you will either need a tranny upgrade or clutch upgrade to even think about those power levels so I would start there.

if you have an auto you tranny is holding you back already. I know mine is. I could add power all day long but many tranny would just slip. I will not add any more power until this is remedied.

Fuel System, FASS or something to replace the stock lift/pusher pump. Big single turbo or twin turbos. I have the II SPS66 for now and will be switching to twins when I can afford it. TC/Trans or clutch addressed above, if auto probably at least TC, Valve Body and billet input shaft and flex plate. Get a TST PMCR for your primary performance box. That should get you between 500-600 usable rwhp.

I'm guessing your truck has low mileage on it so I wouldn't go out and buy a performance trans just yet. I would change the TC/VB and go from there. A lot of us are running different TC, look for one that will suit your needs. You can probably do a search on TC/VB and find a whole lot of info...

I respectfully disagree. He said he wants to eventually make 500-600hp. With that in mind, it may be cheaper for him to go ahead and do the whole thing at once and do it right. But it won't be cheap.

I am still learning about this stuff myself, but I think that much HP (500-600) is to much for the stock tranny even with a TC/VB job. But I may just wind up doing the TC/VB myself if I can't come up the funds for the whole thing.
