Been wondering this myself.

 

More power. Plain and simple.

 

some modules and programmers work best at lower rpm, some at mid range, and others at high speed. some work better at WOT, and some give you better driveability when cruising.

stacking different combos allows you to take advantage of the benefits of each product. but in all actuality, I did it for MORE POWER!!

 

I have been running a triple stack for over a year and a half now. The above is correct about more power by each module/programmer complimenting the other(s). There are many options now for stacking. Generally a timing/duration box can be stacked with a pressure only box and or a downloader, etc. It does make tuning the stack levels difficult and probably only really needed on moderate to highly modified trucks.
